President Kenyatta in Dodoma For the Fallen Magufuli's Farewell Ceremony

Magufuli passed away on March 17, while serving as Tanzania's president for his second term. His Deputy Ms. Suluhu has since succeeded him.

Uhuru Kenyatta is among several presidents attending the farewell ceremony for his departed Tanzania counterpart John Magufuli ongoing in Jamhuri grounds, Dodoma. 

President Kenyatta who also serves as the East African Community (EAC) Chair, is accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary (CS) Adan Mohamed.

Other presidents also gracing the ceremony include South Africa's Cyril Ramaphosa, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Zimbabwe's Emmerson Mnangagwa...

Others include Malawi's Lazarus Chakwera, Felix Tshisekedi from Congo, Botswana's Mokgweetsi Masisi, and Edgar Lungu from Zambia. 

The fallen Commander-in-Chief will officially be laid to rest on March 26 at his official residence in Chato. He reportedly succumbed to a heart complication condition he had fought for about a decade.

Tanzanians will have an opportunity to view the remains of their fallen president as scheduled until when he will be laid to rest.
