President Museveni Names Rtd Major Jessica Alupo as the New Vice President of Uganda

Uganda President Yoweri Museveni has finally named retired major Jesica Alupo as the new Ugandan Deputy President.

Museveni appointed Alupo on Tuesday evening alongside cabinet ministers who will work in his administration for the next 5 years.

“I hereby inform the nation that by virtue of the authority given to the President of Uganda by the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, I hereby appoint H.E. Rtd Major Jessica Alupo as the Vice President,” Museveni said.

Among those appointed as ministers in Museveni’s cabinet is general Katumba Wamala who recently escaped death after being shot by the assassins, he has been appointed Minister of Works and Transport.

Museveni won his 6th term as the Ugandan President after defeating musician Charles Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine in a chaotic election that saw the Ugandan government turning off the social media platforms in the country.

Bobi Wine has since on multiple occasions accused Museveni of rigging the elections.
