President Samia Suluhu Leaves Tanzania for Kenya Ahead of HAKI Africa Meeting {VIDEO}
Tanzania`s President Samia Suluhu Hassan is today expected to attend a meeting in Nairobi Kenya to appeal for the release of all activists, journalists, and political prisoners who may still be detained in prisons in the United Republic of Tanzania.
Christine Juma The Meeting will begin at 12:00 PM at the HAKI Africa building.
From interactions, reports, and media highlights, various journalists and individuals were arrested and detained from the 2020 concluded general elections in Tanzania.
Although HE Mama Suluhu has already shown exemplary action by earlier releasing 5,000 similar prisoners, there are still reports from partner CSOs, media houses, and political parties of others remaining in prisons.
In solidarity and affirmation of human rights in Tanzania and across East Africa, HAKI Africa requests journalists in making the appeal to HE Mama Suluhu to release the activists.
