President Uhuru Expected to Meet with Jubilee Senators Today

Uhuru will be meeting the Parliamentary Group even as both levels of the house reconvene today at 2:00 pm.

The move by the President comes at the time when the Jubilee party expelled six nominated senators who are allied to the Deputy President William Ruto.

The Senators include Millicent Omanga, Isaac Mwaura, Mary Seneta, Victor Prengeei, Naomi Waqo, and Iman Falhada.

In a statement by the Jubilee Party’s Secretary General Raphael Tuju on Monday, he said the National Management Committee met to and deliberated the report filed by the disciplinary committee with regard to the rampant members.

“The NMC in exercising its mandate provided or under article 7 (2a) of the party’s constitution and relying on other enabling provisions of the party law has expelled the following senators,” the statement read.

Jubilee party had vowed to take action against the members who are undermining the party’s leadership.

However, nominated senator Millicent Omanga through her Twitter account said she had not received an official statement regarding the expulsion statement.
