Radio Host  Njogu Wa Njoroge Fired Days after Joining UDA

Kameme FM Radio presenter Njogu Wa Njoroge was Fired on Monday 24th barely a week after he joined Deputy President William Ruto`s United Democratic Alliance Party { UDA} on Friday 21st January to vie for the Njoro parliamentary seat.

Njogu Wa Njoroge revealed to a source privy to this publication that he was sacked from his official duties via a phone call from the station's management.

"I received a phone call from the Programs Controller, who asked me not to report to work, permanently," Njoroge revealed.

He however linked his dismissal from work with his political move where he joined UDA even though he had planned to render his resignation ahead of the February 9 deadline.

"It is because of my affiliations, nothing else. I would have resigned to go and concentrate on politics," he stated.

The media personality was unveiled at DP Ruto's office in Karen and was welcomed by UDA members in a ceremonial way.

"Kazi ni kazi (Work is Work) Njogu Wa Njoroge. You are a great and highly talented son of Rurii. Wishing you the best in your political endeavors. Karibu sana (Welcome) bro," Kiharu MP, Ndindi Nyoro, wrote.

However, this comes a year with a higher number of journalists expressing interest in various political seats.

The Milele FM radio presenter revealed that he will be vying for the Wundanyi parliamentary seat in the upcoming August 9, 2022, General Election. This was after his ex-colleague  Felix Odiwuor announced his interest in contesting for the Langa`ta MP position. He is willing to unseat t the current Mp Nixon Korir under the ODM party.

Patient Nyange

Nyange is vying for Granton Samboja's governor seat in Taita Taveta. She is a former assistant director at the Kenya National Human Rights Commission and a communication expert.
