Raila Won The Elections But Gave it Away

Saitabao Ole Kanchory, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Chief agent claims that the party`s leader, Raila Odinga won the August 2022 presidential elections but gave it away.

From a book titled "Why Baba Is Not The Fifth," which was launched on Wednesday,   Kanchory has termed the results "tragicomedy"  on Azimio`s part. He says that  Raila Odinga, together with his running mate Martha Karua lost because of lack of strategy and organisation by his campaign team comprising staff and a command centre and poll agents.

Kanchory said that there has not been an election in Kenya for the last 20 years. From his view, elections are neither won nor lost, but given to those who are prepared for leadership. He said that Raila won but he gave it away.

From the 2022 elections, Raila came second with 6,942, 930 votes accumulating 48.85% of the total votes. Ruto came first with a total of 7,176,141 votes which added up to 50.49% of the total votes.

Following this, Raila challanged the results at the Supreme court but faced defeat from "lack of enough evidence".

Kanchory has said that he has tried to salvage the situation but is yet to succeed.
