Raila's Aide Philip Etale Says He Tested Positive For Covid-19

Following Raila's revelation over his Covid-19 infection, his allies especially whom he interacted closely with have stated they will be getting the tests to determine their status too.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Communications Director Philip Etale on Saturday morning revealed having contracted Covid-19 infection.

Taking to Twitter, Etale relayed the message, calling upon Kenyans to remember him in prayers. "Although devastated; I remain strong, determined, and in high spirits. By His stripes, I will triumph...," read part of Etale's tweet optimistic that healing was his portion.

Etale's revelation comes two days after the ODM principal Raila Odinga announced that he tested positive for the Covid-19. The ODM leader is currently under isolation, with medics saying that he is responding well to medication.

Speaking on Thursday, Raila told Kenyans that the pandemic is real, and everybody should observe all regulations laid down to tame the spread.

Raila revealed after numerous tests undertaken for two days, he was found to have contracted the pandemic. Raila's family and staff members have since been tested and found to be negative.

When he was taken ill on Tuesday, the leader had been back to the city shortly, after spending about four days at the coastal region.
