Refurbished Kenya Meat Commission depot
President Uhuru Kenyatta finally opens up the refurbished Kenya Meat Commission eight months after he had transferred to the Ministry of Defense through an Executive Order.

The president later made an extensive tour at the KMC depot on Landhies road before he proceeded to the main factory in Athi River, Machoks County to preside over the reopening of the meat processing facility.
The main objective of transferring KMC to KDF was to restore infrastructure and develop an ambitious business plan for the commission despite the senators opposing the move quoting that there was no public participation undertaken to arrive at the decision.
