Kigame who is seeking the country’s top seat on a Federal Party of Kenya (FKF) ticket says because he is visually impaired, he will not be tempted to amass a lot of wealth through corrupt deals, as has been the case with the current crop of politicians whom he claimed use eyes to lust for wealth – which they eventually acquire through illegal means.

Speaking during a meet-the-people tour in various estates within Eldoret town, the musician-turned-politician pledged to fight corruption by all means, should he form the next government.

“Thank God I will not use my eyes to admire a lot of wealth the way other politicians do when elected by admiring even wives of poor Kenyans like bodaboda riders. I will fight corruption, by all means, to ensure that poor Kenyans get value for the taxes they pay,” Kigame told locals during the tour.

“The lust of the eyes is what makes our politicians engage in corruption. I want to stop this culture of corruption and ensure food security in our country through a level playing ground for all Kenyans,” he added.

According to Kigame, it is only him that can end the corruption vice in the country, as other current politicians have in the past served in corrupt governments.

“Majority of politicians I am competing with are not able to fight corruption since they are part and parcel of a network of corruption cartels in the country. They have been in power for so long and they have been defeated to eliminate corruption, if you elect me I assure you corruption will come to an end,” assured the singer.

He also challenged Kenyans to shun politicians known for going around the country bribing them with as low as Ksh50 and instead elect ‘clean politicians’ like him.
