Revealed!! Why Taliban-Afghanistan Have Been Fighting

This recent violence has left many people injured while some dead.

On Monday 16th August at least three people were killed at the Kabul Airport when the US troops fired shots on desperate crowds who had sought to flee the country on the last flights.

Well In 2001, the United States responded to the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington, which killed almost 3,000 people. Al-Qaeda, an Islamist militant group, and its leader, Osama Bin Laden, were blamed by officials.

Bin Laden was in Afghanistan, where he was protected by the Taliban, a group of Islamists in control since 1996.
When the Taliban refused to hand him over, the US engaged militarily, overthrowing the Taliban quickly and promising to support democracy and eliminate the terrorist threat.

In 2004, a new Afghan government took over when Nato allies joined the US, but deadly Taliban attacks persisted. In 2009, President Barack Obama's "troop surge" helped push the Taliban back, although it was short-lived.

Nato's multinational forces completed their combat mission in 2014, at the end of the worst year in Afghanistan since 2001, leaving security to the Afghan army. The Taliban gained momentum as a result, and they took additional territory.
Peace discussions between the US and the Taliban began tentatively, with the Afghan government mostly uninvolved, until a withdrawal deal was reached in Qatar in February 2020.

The US-Taliban agreement did not deter the Taliban from attacking Afghan security forces and civilians, instead focusing on targeted killings. Their spheres of influence expanded.

On February 29, 2020, in Doha, Qatar, the US, and the Taliban sign a "deal for bringing peace" to Afghanistan. THE US AND NATO ALLIES AGREE TO WITHDRAW ALL TROOPS WITHIN 14 MONTHS IF THE MILITANTS KEEP THE DEAL on September 11th, 2021.
