The tweet with the revised measures was from Dr. Ahmed Kalebi; it further communicated there was an end of contact tracing and quarantine and vaccinated inbound travelers were allowed to proceed without PCR testing.

The Ministry of Health posted, “It has come to our attention that there is a document circulating in the media purporting to come up with revised purporting to come up with revised restriction measures on Covid-19 the document is not from the Ministry of Health and is therefore not authentic.”

The ministry affirmed the dismissal of the fake news by saying, “If and when the Government revises the restrictions, we shall make it public in the usual manner.”

Dr. Ahmed posted on his Twitter account that the MOH Kenya had not yet approved the information he had earlier communicated. The document was unsigned thus could not be considered official.
