Road Crash Leave Five Family Members Dead
The five died on the spot, with four others suffering serious injuries.
Justin Nzioka A family has been thrown into deep mourning after losing five members instantly through a fatal road crash.
The Saturday morning incident occurred at around 5:00 am, at Taru, along Nairobi to Mombasa highway. The family members were driving to Mombasa from Nairobi when their car suffered a head-on collision with a trailer.
The five died on the spot, while four others suffered injuries. The survivors are currently receiving medical attention at the Kinango District hospital, according to Coast traffic commandant Peter Maina.
Mr. Maina lamented increased accidents along the road, hinting that they will soon be introducing speed guns to tame the menace.
Barely a week ago, five other people still died following an accident at Shangia on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway. The two scenes of accidents are not far from each other.
