According to his lawyer Otiede Amollo, Chege was admitted to Nairobi Hospital and did not appear before the committee.

"The respondent Sabina Chege is Indisposed and did not make it to appear before the committee here today as she is admitted in Nairobi Hospital,’’ Otiende said.

The Muranga legislator had earlier made remarks that the Jubilee party rigged the 2017 elections which sparked fury among the citizens and the members of Kenya Kwanza Alliance which led to the women representative being summoned by IEBC  to shed more light on her claims.

Deputy President William Ruto rubbished the claims that no rigging happened in the last general elections that Jubilee won by a bigger margin. The Deputy President also cautioned leaders not to make utterances that could divide Kenyans and polarize the nation.

Sabina Chege has been on a campaign trail drumming Support for Azimio la Umoja and Raila Odinga across the country and is seeking to increase their support base in the Mt. Kenya region.

Sabina’s fate now lies in the hands of IEBC as Kenyans wait for the next courses of action by the commission.
