Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah issued a list of demands ahead of his visit to Nairobi, Kenya on Tuesday, March 23.

According to reports, the Egyptian star demanded his national team to accommodate him a private hotel suite in the city at a cost of Ksh40,000 a night.

Officials at Liverpool FC have indicated that this is to prevent the star player from contracting COVID-19, as he did during his last international tour.

He tested positive for COVID-19 in his recent tour to Africa for international duty in 2020 as well as his compatriot Mohamed Elneny, who plays for English side Arsenal. Elneny is also in the squad to face Kenya.

Media reports have further revealed that the Egyptian team will stay at the Hilton Hotel in Nairobi, famous for hosting high-profile personalities such as actress Angelina Jolie, musician Sean Paul, sixth UN Secretary-General Boutros-Ghali among others.

In addition, Salah asked for a specific diet, approved by his personal doctor, and requested to be picked up directly from the airport and transferred to his hotel room.

A private suite in the hotel ranges for between Ksh30,000 and Ksh40,000 a night depending on the type of room and services on offer.

Egypt's the Pharaohs will take on the Harambee Stars for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani on Thursday, March 25.

Salah is currently the joint-top scorer in the English Premier League (PL) with 17 goals alongside Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. He has a league title to his name as well as a UEFA Champions League winners medal.
