Magistrate Wangari Kamau has sentenced the students to serve a probation term of six months working in the Molo police station.

The two were arrested following a tip-off that they had brought the drug to school and planned to supply it to other pupils.

They are aged16 and 17-year-old. The 16-year-old who is thought to be running a trafficking ring was apprehended with four rolls, while his partner was apprehended with a joint that had been partially smoked.

Intelligence reports show that kids in the area have been recruited into a drug trafficking ring run by a notorious suspect who has since fled and gone into hiding.

In another incident, a Nigerian national and another man were detained in connection with the seizure of 2,500 grams of bhang at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

In separate investigations in Nairobi last week, five relatives were detained and 3.072 kg of cocaine worth Sh15 million was found on them.
