Senior Kenya Air Force Officer Found Dead In A Car

Police are investigating the death of a senior Kenya Air Force officer who was reportedly found dead in his car along Juja Road on Monday evening.

According to police and military officials, Col. Flavian Mwangi Waweru, the Commandant of the Kenya Air Force (KAF) Training Wing, at the Moi Airbase in Eastleigh Nairobi was discovered unconscious in his car.

Officials say that the officer had departed the camp at around 4 p.m., gotten into his Toyota Vitz, and was traveling toward the city center when he passed away.

Witnesses called the police and the military since they claimed to have seen the car at the scene for a considerable amount of time.

Police and military personnel were sent to the site and took the officer to a nearby hospital.

It was at the hospital that he was declared dead but what led to his death was yet to be established.

His body was taken to the mortuary as investigations into the incident continue.

On September 22 and 23, he presided over the championship's concluding ceremony at the Moi Air Base's Sina Makosa Stadium for the Kenya Air Force's New Soldiers Sports Talent Search Championship 2022.

His coworkers described him as a hardworking officer.
