The incident occurs on the day that, under the Ministry of Education's instructions, pupils returned to class following a two-week break.
The accident comes at a time schools were to open on Thursday 18th following Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha`s directive.
Magoha had directed that all schools open on the 18th after the general elections exercise that took place on Aust 9th.
Magoha said that beginning on Tuesday, August 2, all students from all institutes of basic education would begin their half-term holiday. Classes would resume on Thursday, August 11.
He said that the message superseded the earlier one in which the Ministry had established Saturday, August 6, as the deadline for closure.
