Former HomeBoyz radio presenter Shaffie Weru has threatened to sue his former employer Radio Africa for unfair and unlawful termination of the employment.

In a letter addressed to Radio Africa’s General Manager, Shaffie demands gratuity since he has worked for the company for the previous 18 years.

According to the letter, Shaffie wants one month salary in lieu notice which is a whooping Sh.682, 500. Shaffie also wants a 12-month salary for the unfair termination (Sh.8, 190,000) and a Gratuity of (12,285,000).

The famous radio presenter now wants his demands met in 7 days failure to which he threatens to move to court.

Through his advocate, Shaffie Weru says he is still confused as to what exactly led to his dismissal.

“Our client is still lost and confused as to the exact comments you allude to,” his lawyer says.

Shaffie also accuses the company of failing to accord him a fair hearing as the decision to let him go was made by a member of the organization who acted as the judge and the accuser.

Shaffie was fired alongside two of his co-hosts i.e. Dj Joe Mfalme and Naville Musya after they made insensitive comments about sexual victim Eunice Wangari.
