Shocking Revelation! Governor Joho Sentenced To 60 Days In jail Or Pays A Fine Of 250,000

Mombasa governor Ali Hassan has found himself in trouble after being found guilty of supervising the destruction of a private property amounting to a breach of a court order. The Kenyan politician has been sentenced to 60 days in jail or pay a fine of KSh250,000.

According to the Environment and Land Court Judge, Sila Munyao, Joho went against the court order barring the destruction of Ashok Doshi’s perimeter wall in Changamwe. Adding to the case, the Mombasa governor ignored court summons on multiple occasions.

In the filed case, Joho was accused of hiring 100 goons to bring down the KSh 2 million perimeter wall. The case was heard On March 6, 2019 where Lady Justice Ann Omollo granted the tycoon Ashok Doshi protection against the destruction of his wall by the County Government of Mombasa over a land dispute.

Changamwe MCA Bernard Ogutu has also been fined KSh 20,000 or 14 days’ imprisonment.  Ogutu's punishment was not as high as joho's since he honored court summons but was still found guilty of defying a court directive over his involvement in the demolition of Doshi’s perimeter wall.

Recently, the Mombasa governor insisted on pushing for a coastal political party and went on to submit his presidential nomination papers to the orange democratic movement.Joho stated that the presidency was not meant for the selected few but for everyone especially those who belong to the small communities.
