Sifuna - We’ll Not Renew NASA Agreement!

ODM party Sec-Gen Edwin Sifuna has said there is a deficit of trust in the National Super Alliance (NASA) and therefore they are not going to renew the agreement.

Sifuna - We’ll Not Renew NASA Agreement!

In an interview on Tuesday morning, Sifuna said according to the agreement between NASA and ODM, the orange party would not field a presidential candidate in case the agreement is renewed by the end of the current parliament.

"The agreement between NASA and ODM states that in the event NASA coalition is renewed, ODM will not field a candidate. I can guarantee you there will be no opportunity at all for us to renew it because there is a deficit of trust in NASA," Sifuna said.

Sifuna's words come after Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka said he will not support ODM leader Raila Odinga for the third time for the president.

ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi also accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of not honoring the political commitments of the defunct NASA coalition.

According to Mudavadi, Odinga did not respect the commitments of the coalition in sharing political parties’ funds.

"We are no longer interested in a marriage that is abusive. In a coalition that is abusive. Hiyo ndoa ya NASA imekwisha ladha. We want to find new partners," Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala said.
