Sonko seen spending money in Estate after claiming to be broke

On Wednesday 15th former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko shared videos of him donating money, foodstuff, and other personal effects victims of the Kwangware fire. The former governor mentioned that he will support them in any way and ensure the man who died in the inferno gets a befitting send-off. He went ahead and ordered that a sick woman who was among the victims be taken to hospital immediately.

“They said I have nothing left. However, you will not sleep hungry. I am even giving you all the fare to go back home,” Sonko said. The 300 victims were grateful for the former governor's move to assist them since the government has made no move to help them. Some of them actually suggested the former governor should vie for his former seat again.

Unfortunately before this, the governor had asked the court to give him back his 15 Million bail money telling the court he is flat broke so as to pay school fees for his children, pay for his lawyers and cater for his daily needs and those of his family.
