The Nazareth Baptist Church in Ebuhleni, in the northern part of Durban, South Africa, conducts the test to encourage chastity among women in society.

The annual event is organized by the church, and the successful candidates receive a Certificate of Virginity at the end.

A white purity mark is also placed on the virgins' foreheads.

The test is usually held in the middle of the year, and the certificate issued becomes invalid by the middle of the following year when the church conducts the next virginity test.

This week, the test for the 2022/2023 session was held, and certificates were given to the successful ladies.

The certificate was signed by the Nazareth Baptist Church Leader and the specialist who performed the test.
