Strathmore University Responds to Maltreatment Allegations from Online Tiktoker
Kenya`s popular University Strathmore has responded to mistreatment allegations toward a renowned content creator who has been identified as Swiry Nyar Kano.
According to the content creator, she revealed to a source privy to this publication that Gatekeepers at Nairobi's Strathmore University recently harassed and stopped her from attending an event because of her dress code.
Swiry Nyar Kano took to her TikTok account to protest about alleged mistreatment at the school.
TikToker known for her pro-Africa videos, dressed in an African print outfit, says she believes she dressed suitably for the event.

Swiry noted that she was invited to the Titok for peace event via her Tiktok account through her manager and decided to attend but upon reaching the Strathmore University gate, she was asked to identify herself and indicate the purpose of her visit.
She was upset when the university security staff at the gate refused to let her in because her name was not included among the guests at the 'TikTok for Peace' event, which was held in the auditorium.
She further added that a guy she says is a university employee chastised her over her dress code, telling her how inadequately dressed she was; the university rejects this account.

However, Strathmore University Dean of Students Paul Ochieng defended self stating that as agreed in the protocol with the organizers - Speyside - the university, as physical hosts, had to strictly adhere to the guest list presented to them, resulting in the denial of entry for any unlisted guest. This meant that Swiry Nyar Kano wasn't invited to the event.

Is there any university in Europe that forces its students to dress in African attire?
