Just In: Moi Girls Eldoret Closed Indefinitely Following the Students Protests

Students of Moi Girls High School went on a rampage on Wednesday morning protesting for the transfer of the school Principal Christine Chumba for harassing them.

The students blocked the school gate for hours before the Uasin Gishu County education officials addressed them.

The students accuse the Principal of harassing them and subordinate staff, abolishing the entertainment and the sporting activities.

The Principal is also accused of cutting down the iconic trees which beautified the learning institution, forcing the students to consume cabbages and ugali on daily basis and sacking of watchmen by the students.

However, Uasin Gishu County Education Director Gitonga Mbaka said the school board is going to deliberate on the issues and concerns raised by the students.
