Surprise Visit Gone Sour, KDF Soldier Ends Lover's Life Over Lady's Shoes
A Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) officer in Nairobi County was put behind bars by police on Sunday following the murder of his girlfriend.

The deceased had travelled all the way from Garissa to come pay his boyfriend a visit. However, upon arrival, she found a lady’s pair of shoes at the door and after inquiring from her boyfriend who the owner of the shoe was, a quarrel erupted.
John Gitau allegedly ended the life of his girlfriend Esuron Phoebe Kaele, after the argument got so heated that he took a kitchen knife and stabbed the deceased on the rear right side of the neck.
After stabbing her to death, the Embakasi officer called his colleague, Evans Munene, and confessed his crime, leading to him being apprehended.
Munene informed his colleagues who rushed to the crime scene.
Her lifeless body was found lying on the sofa.
The murder weapon he had used and a bucket of clothes soaked in blood were retrieved from the bathroom.
The body of the deceased was moved to Forces Memorial Shujaa Hospital morgue for postmortem.
Gitau is already in police custody.
