“The Guns Galore by Journalist Purity Mwambia was false”-DCI Kinoti Breaks Silence
Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss George Kinoti has finally broken his silence over the guns galore that was aired by Citizen Tv on Sunday 18th terming it as false and fake news.
Christine Juma According to Mr. Kinoti, the report indicated that the AK47 rifle contained parts assembled from different guns after new details emerged that the gun's parts had different serial numbers.
He also noted that Purity would have reported the matter to DCI for proper investigations to determine where the weapons and handcuffs came from before airing the piece on television.
"The firearm/ handcuffs could have come from us but you could have allowed us to investigate the matter to find out which station, security agency they came from & if we collaborated, it would have been a well-done job," said Kinoti.
