Malkia Strikers was keen to make amends in their third fixture against Serbia on Thursday, July 29, only for them to lose 3-0.
Despite the frustrating results, the Kenyan team did put up a spirited performance against the world champions as they came up close in two sets.
Kenya narrowly lost the first set 21-25, with the second one ending in an 11-25 loss.
The team came close to winning the third, only to lose by a fine margin of 20-25.
Malkia is scheduled to take on Brazil and the Dominican Republic in two of their last fixtures of the preliminary round.
