TV News Anchor Demands Salary on Live Broadcast {VIDEO}

A Zambian TV newscaster interrupted a live broadcast to demand on-air that he hadn’t been paid by the station for an unknown period of time.

According to the Saturday, June 19th video footage circulation on social media, the news identified as Kabinda Kalimina was anchoring the top news stories on KBN TV News (Kenmark Broadcasting Network) when he demanded his peanuts live on Camera.

In the video, the journalist stated “I work for the news ladies and gentlemen. We are human beings. We have to get paid, we haven’t been paid,” He also referred to himself and other colleagues working for the station who were on the same suit.

However, the TV Chief Executive Officer Mr. Kennedy K Mambwe strongly condemned the actions of the presenter on their Facebook page further stating that the presenter`s actions were fueled by Alcohol and investigations were underway to interrogate why the anchor stepped on the news desk while ‘drunk’.

‘We strongly condemn that despicable behavior and urge members of the public to treat that “One-Night stunt of Fame” with the contempt it deserves.’ said Mr. Mambwe.

However, the accused Mr. Kalimina defended his actions of the Facebook page clearing off the false allegations On Facebook, stating: ‘Yes I did that on live TV, just because most journalists are scared to speak out doesn’t mean journalists shouldn’t speak out.’
