Twitter is currently experiencing a major outage. The service started having problems around 8:05 AM ET, with many users reporting "over capacity" error messages and even errors saying "this page is down." The problems affect Twitter's web, mobile, and even the company's TweetDeck app.

While the main Twitter.com domain is loading, it is currently not possible to log in or access tweets.

The United Kingdom appears to be the most heavily disrupted region, as do parts of France and the East and West coasts of the United States. Pakistan, Japan, Portugal, Brazil, Columbia, and parts of Kenya and Saudi Arabia appear to be affected as well.

This is the first major Twitter outage since the social network experienced a string of issues in February. Twitter went down twice in a week in February, with users in parts of the United States unable to access the service due to a "technical bug that was preventing timelines from loading and Tweets from posting."

These latest Twitter service issues come just days after the social network sued the world's richest man, Elon Musk. Musk is attempting to back out of a $44 billion acquisition deal because Twitter has allegedly failed to respond to requests for information on the bot and spam activity on the platform.
