Two More Malkia Players Face Bitok's Axe For Tokyo Olympics

Middle blocker Violet Makuto and veteran libero Elizabeth Wanyama face the latest cut as National women's volleyball team coach Paul Bitok names his final squad of 12 for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

This means the two are set to join Pamela Adhiambo and Emmaculate Nekesa who were also left out on Monday.

The squad will be led by skipper Mercy Moim, her assistant Noel Murambi, evergreen setter Jane Wacu and Edith Wisa as some of the experienced members.

Other members include  Sharon Chepchumba, budding middle blockers Gladys Ekaru and Lorine Chebet, as well as outside hitters Leonida Kasaya and Pamela Jepkirui with Kenya Pipeline libero Aggripina Kundu and Kenya Prisons duo of Emmaculate Chemtai and Joy Lusenaka filling the list of 12.

The squad is set to fly to Kurume on 6th July for pre-Olympics training camp.
