According to a police report, the vehicle's owner, Jeremiah Malaba Nasikungu, went to the Lucky Summer Police Station on Wednesday to follow up on an original report he filed on the theft on May 22, 2022.

On the night of May 21, 2022, Nasikungu claimed the vehicle was taken from where he had parked it.

Nasikungu allegedly received a phone call from one of his friends, Fanwel Toka, who claimed to have seen his vehicle abandoned near the Gathecha region while at the police station.

“Nasikungu immediately rushed to the scene in the company of police officers and on arrival at the scene identified the vehicle to be his although the front and rear number plates had been removed,” read a police report.

Police discovered the two bodies, which were alleged to be covered in blisters, after peering through the car's windows.

Police have already examined the murder scene, which is currently being investigated by forensic experts from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the City Mortuary, where they will be identified and subjected to a postmortem examination.
