Uproar as Kisii County MCA Fumbles as she Takes Oath of Office
Kenyans on Social media on Friday 23rd reacted to a viral video of a Kisii Member of the County Assembly who fumbled on Thursday 22nd as she was taking an oath of office.
According to the viral video that made headlines on Friday 23rd, the MCA can be seen having difficulty in pronouncing some words further ignited mixed reactions among netizens.
"The county Assembly member of Kisii county that i shal discharge my dudis and baform my fuctions in teh said ovicce"
Her incorrect pronunciation of words correctly rose eyebrows with others concerned about her education level and if she will really represent the people of Kisii county accordingly.
Mtaishi mkishangaa why some counties keep the pace way ahead while others in the same same country citizens are delapited deeep into poverty. This disgusts me.

Well below are the requirements for one to become an MCA in Kenya.
The Candidate must submit the following documents to the Commission during the Commission Nomination:
- A copy of a National Identity Card/Valid Passport (the document used by the candidate to register as a voter)
- A Passport size photograph with white background was submitted in the electronic and printed copy.
- If a Party Candidate, a Nomination Certificate from a fully registered political party nominating the candidate, duly signed by an authorized official of the party
- A duly signed and dated Code of Conduct (Second Schedule of the Elections Act, 2011)
- A duly filled Commission Nomination Form, including an original Statutory Declaration Form for purposes of nomination (Regulation 18(3) Elections (General) Regulations, 2012) and an original Self-Declaration Form (Regulation 46 of Elections (General) Regulations, 2012)
