US Troops had to exit Afghanistan, says Biden

The US president Joe Biden has opened up on his decision to terminate the 20 years presence of US forces in Afghanistan. Biden said the move considered the interests of all the stake holders and the choices were to stay and escalate the situation or exit and let the storm settle. The historic exit from Afghanistan has been criticized world over. In his defense, the President insisted that, the decision was the only logical thing to do, for the Afghans and American at large. Biden cited the increased tension and the unbowed determination by the Taliban to establish a government devoid of American influence. Various humanitarian organization warn that the withdrawal could plunge the country into further chaos.

The United Nations warned of a looming humanitarian crisis in the process of transforming an insurgent Taliban into a functional government. Numeous sources point that the Taliban is hunting down the fallen government officials as well as those who worked for foreign edities. The president maintained that, the exit was intended put to an end the cycle of violence and bloodshed in the country. He further mentioned that, the presence of the US forces would have only escalated the situation.
