In a press release issued by the  Head of Secretarial Lindah Ogutu on Wednesday 23rd, the ground had no perimeter fence which could cause danger to match officials, players, and also fans that were attending the scheduled fixtures.

The matches that were scheduled to take place in  Utalii will therefore be rescheduled or conducted in other playing fields.

In the past matches, rowdy youths have managed to sneak in and disrupt the games endangering the lives of players and match officials and the FKF  caretaker committee has taken an initiative to prioritize their safety.

“Kindly note that Utalii ground is banned from hosting league matches due to lack of perimeter fence which poses risk to the safety and security of players and match officials”  Said Ogutu.

The teams which had planned for matches in the field will now have to look for other options to ensure that their matches go on uninterrupted.
