VIDEO: Omosh Surrenders His Life to Christ

In a video seen online, Former Tahidi High actor, Kamau Kinuthia, popularly known as Omosh has officially decided to devote his life to Christ.

The video seen showed Omosh being prayed for by Pastor Victor Kanyari. Pastor Kanyari was seen praying and stretching his hand to Omosh as he fell down. Shortly after being prayed for, he received some shopping from the church.

This scene has sparked many reactions to Kenyans as some Kenyans have reacted in different ways.

"Ameanguka kama economy ya Kenya" read a comment.

Kenyans have also reacted to Omosh opting to be prayed for and baptized with the famous controversial Pastor Kanyari.

In 2021, speaking exclusively in an interview with an online media house in Kenya, Omosh revealed that the outbreak of Covid-19 and the show's cancellation in 2020 cost him financially.

"I've been unemployed for a long time and have had no source of income. Other gigs had been offered to me, but they had not materialized. It's been a difficult journey, especially with the pandemic," Omosh stated.

The father of three revealed that he used to earn around Sh18,000 per episode of Tahidi High, but that he is now over Sh100,000 in rent arrears and facing eviction.

Omosh then pleaded with Kenyans to give him a job and to help him raise the funds.

"I just want a job, even if I will be getting Ksh200 a day. I don't mind about class and even if someone decides to start a hotel business where I can sell uji and tea, I am okay with that. There is nothing as hard as waking up every morning and there is nowhere I am going. You see people going to work and coming back and you have nowhere to go. It is very painful," Omosh cried.

Months later in an interview with a media house, Omosh revealed that he had spent the money he received four months later from well-wishers after declaring bankruptcy.

Omosh stated that the majority of those who pledged monetary support for him made false promises and did not keep their word. He also stated that the money he received was used to pay off debts.

“Manze kama ulisema unanitumia kakitu kwani kaliendaje? Bado nategea tu… Kusema tu uwkeli nilipata less than Sh1 million shillings. Nikalipa madeni, chuo ya watoi, juu nilikuwa nimekaa one year, four months bila kulipa.Nililipa Madeni nikabaki zero, so sai madeni zinaweza kuja nikicheza… but so far chuo, hao, food… Manze mnidunge katitu bana… Number ni 0727054141. Tuma kakitu,” Omosh pleaded.

Omosh was labeled as entitled and clueless about how to spend his money. Others encouraged him to work hard and to stop relying on well-wishers all of the time.
