The conning allegations caught the attention of most Kenyans after a close friend to Shirleen`s boyfriend Kenneth a former Ghafla blogger, leaked a WhatsApp screen short of a conversation between them and shared it with blogger Edgar Obare.

According to the leaked screenshots Kenneth allegedly advised Mukami on how the two could earn money to buy a car while appearing to be raising money for single mothers.

However, Mukami escorted her alleged baby daddy to Kasarani police station to record statements on the allegations.

On the other hand, she also wanted the cops to track down the source of the screengrabs and find out who leaked them to blogger Obare.

“Hey. I’m actually with him here. We want them to launch investigations on the alleged screenshots.

“I'm here with my team to clear the confusion. We are innocent and haters will not jeopardize our campaign. Thanks,” Mukami responded.

This comes barely a day after the mother of one had distanced herself with the conning allegations adding that the man in question was just helping her to popularize Baby Shower Sister Initiative since she had known him sometime back.

“I, a single mom, approached Kenneth Gachie to help me popularise my initiative. As stated here already, he has been good at that and successfully did a campaign for his sister last year to buy an electric wheelchair and make donations to spinal injury victims."

Prior to the leaked screenshots Kenyans had contributed Ksh. 848,000 to Shirleen and her girls.

"I've known Kenneth to be good with social media and believed he would help popularize my initiative and he did," she defended herself.
