She stated that her project, named "Baby Shower Sister," was legitimate.

"I founded this campaign with Phoebe and Stella and we shall together address the matter fully in the video. We have contacted a lawyer who shall now move with us and we try to resolve these matters. And for the record, none of the funds have so far been withdrawn. All the funds are still with Mchanga and we shall be advised on what to do with them." she explained.

Mukami went viral after she posted on her Twitter Account on 10th November that her baby daddy had abandoned her immediately, he realized that she was pregnant and due to that she started an organization targeted at supporting single mothers.

In an expose by Obare, Shirleen had conspired with her claimed lover Kenneth Kabuga a former Ghafla blogger to defraud Kenyans off their hard-earned cash, a scheme she successfully carried out as sympathizing citizens joined hands and raised Ksh 848,000 in three days.

Obare went ahead by posting screenshots of the chat with an informant where the young mother was accused of coordinating the filthy scheme with his supposed deadbeat baby daddy to milk funds from Netizens.
