Wavinya Ndeti Steps Down to Vie for Machakos Gubernatorial Seat

On Friday, February 4, the CAS announced her resignation. She told the press that she will now devote her attention and time to campaigning to succeed the current Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.

She announced her interest in the Machakos seat publicly.

"This time around the people of Machakos is ready. They want to take their county back through Wavinya Ndete, who is their daughter; born and bred there," she stated.

Wavinya expressed her gratitude to President Uhuru Kenyatta for the opportunity to work at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

“Kenya will never be the same again with the infrastructure we have now. We have worked with the President well and I thank him so much," she stated.
