We'll Have to Wait a Bit More Longer; Kenha extends closure of Uhuru Highway
Kenya National Highway Authority (Kenha) Director-General Peter Mundinia has extended the road closure of the Mombasa road at Nyayo Stadium from May 31st at 9 am to June 2nd at 4 pm.

This comes after the contractors encountered a rock during their execution leading to the delay of the initial program and requested the extension to allow sufficient time to complete the installation of culverts.
"The contractor encountered a rock during the implementation of works thus delaying the initial program," Mundinia said.
The Authority apologized for the inconveniences and is set to come up with alternative guidelines for motorists who are currently advised to use Aerodrome Road, Baricho Road, or Dunga Road routes.
"Kenha apologizes for any inconveniences that may be caused at the authority endeavors to provide an efficient, safe and reliable road network," Mundinia said.
