The departures of Messi for PSG and Antoine Griezmann for a two-year loan deal (with an obligation to buy) to La Liga Santander Champions Atletico Madrid was seen as a blessing in disguise forthe Brazilian as he seeks redemption but that however has not been the case with the recent arrival of Memphis Depay and Ansu Fati’s breakthrough in the first 11 has left the ‘little magician’ as a mere squad player.

However, Tite is not giving up just yet.

“This is not the best Coutinho but he has big potential, we will help rescue what he was in Liverpool. His talent cannot be argued with and nobody can say he doesn’t have it still. We should start the process to bring him back, said the coach.

It would be great to see Philipe restore his Liverpool form as on his day, he is one of the best and a joy to watch. A move away from Catalonia might just be the best option as he needs a team that assures him consistent minutes on the pitch with him being the Centre of action. A move to the Bundesliga or a return to the EPL might just do the trick and salvage his career, giving us one last chance to be mesmerized by the Magicians' wand as he enters the twilight of his career.
