Wetangula Distances Self from IEBC Greek Ballot Papers Printers Tender Claims

The Deputy President William Ruto’s foe turned ally Senator further urged the Azimio la Umoja party members to keep off his name from their election troubles.

It is believed that Wetangul`as alleged move was to strike a deal with ballot papers printers in order to rig the August 9th general elections.

However, the Ford Kenya party leader says the allegations are false and he doesn't even know the owners or anyone associated with the firm.

"If any letters were written on letterheads indicating they are from the Bungoma Senator’s office, they must be forgeries. I have never written such letters. I do not, and I repeat, I do not know the three foreigners being referred to," his statement read in part.

He further said that tying him to the Greek corporation is harmful and intended to deflect the Commission's attention away from other election issues.

"The malicious story is simply a diversion from real election issues of fighting corruption, high cost of living, debt burden, state capture, glaring conflicts of interest in the management of public affairs, and of course our imminent and unstoppable victory come August 9," Wetangula stated.

The Senator has threatened legal action against anyone making the charges, stating that he would not settle until the truth is revealed.
