What is your belief system?
Have you ever thought of what you believe in? Have you ever questioned why you do things the way you do them? How you cook an egg? How you brush your teeth? “Without your own cultural identity, you become anything that they tell you are”, says an African proverb.
As a computer operating system, so is our belief system. A basic computer can only handle so much as long as it's within its operating system. Likewise, you cannot grow beyond your belief system. If you think life is hard? So, will it be! If you say vacations are for the rich, Yes! You see them enjoy the beaches. If you perceive marriage as difficult, you will meet people with unhealthy relationships.
Do you know some beliefs can limit your potential? How do you perceive relationships, finances, marriage, employment, Kenyan politics, other cultures? Are there times you think you can’t do something because it’s meant for certain people?
Perhaps, you are wondering how then can I correct my belief system? Who are you comfortable hanging around with? Do they inspire you? Are you challenged to become a better version of yourself? Are your dreams stirred up? Is your energy renewed? Are your inspirations instigated? In short, you attract who you are and you are the average of the five people you hang around with.
