Wijnaldum Close to Joining PSG on a Free Transfer
Netherlands international player Georginio Wijnaldum is close to joining France side Paris-Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

The midfielder opted not to extend his contract with The Reds at the end of the season 2021/22.
Initially, it was anticipated that Wijnaldum was going to join Barcelona after his contract expires at the end of June in Anfield.
However, Paris-Saint-Germain who missed the League one trophy this season is understood to have stepped in with a better offer for Wijnaldum and therefore he opted to join them.
The presence of Pochettino as the boss is also thought to have been a factor.
The Liverpool midfielder praised Pochettino before he joined The Reds and although the deal is yet to be completed, it is anticipated Wijnaldum will join PSG.
Wijnaldum is currently a part of the Netherlands team which is going to play for the Euro 2020.
