Yvonne Okwara Receives Accolades for Firm Stand During Presidential Debate

Kenyans have praised Yvonne Okwara Matole, the business editor and presenter for Citizen TV, on social media for her outstanding performance during the 2022 Presidential debate on Tuesday 26th July at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) .

Yvonne Okwara Receives Accolades for Firm Stand During Presidential Debate

Due to the journalistic skill, she demonstrated when confronting Deputy President William Ruto on the debate stage, Yvonne's name topped social media trends from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.

Kenyans praised  Yvonne for holding the United Democratic alliance party Presidential candidate William Ruto responsible for his role as a deputy President in the Jubilee Government that began in 2013.

Eric Latiff, her colleague moderator, has also received accolades for managing the Presidential Debate session in a manner similar to his "Situation Room" on spice FM.

The discussion demonstrated that the journalists had done their study and were knowledgeable about the current topics they were debating with William Ruto about.

The second round of the presidential debate, which was to include William Ruto and Raila Odinga, was moderated by Yvonne and Latiff.

The debate went for 1hr:30 minutes as Ruto's opponent Raila Odinga never showed p on allegations that he couldn't be on the same debate with a thief.
