Gaza – Israel War Claims 33 Lives
Israel released new airstrikes on Gaza on Tuesday 11th, hitting the high-rise home of a Hamas field commander alongside other two border tunnels dug by militants.
Christine Juma On the other hand, Hamas and other armed groups fired dozens of rockets toward Israel. It was an escalation sparked by weeks of tensions in contested Jerusalem.
These clashes however led to the death of 24 Palestinians and 9 children tallying the total fatalities to 33 at the moment.
This came at a time Protests erupted in the city of al-Lydd near Tel Aviv in support of Palestinians
According to Israeli military reports, 15 of the dead people were militants.
In addition, during the same period, Gaza militants fired more than 200 rockets towards Israel, injuring six Israeli civilians.
Investigations established by Bright Kenya News indicated that the source of the clashes was caused by Palestinians who were angered with restrictions imposed on access to a compound where al-Aqsa mosque which is the third holiest site in Islam along with the Temple Mount the holiest site in Judaism.
