Trouble for Ex- Mt Elgon`s MP John Serut as this Shocking Audio Emerges

Trouble might be looming for Former Mount Elgon`s Member of Parliament John Serut as worrying and shocking audio of him threatening a university student emerged on Thursday 14th October.

The worrying details come barely a day after his daughter identified as Mish Serut, revealed that the politician was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (a type of blood cancer that affects critical body organs like the liver, kidneys, and bones) in January 2020.

"Hey guys, so a lot of you don't know me but I'm here requesting your help today. My father's name is John Serut and he's been unwell for a while now. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in January of 2020. Since then, we've had medical bills totaling about KSh 20 million," Mish said.

Mish took to her Twitter account on Tuesday 12th indicating that the family tried to handle their father's medical bills, but they needed more help.

On October 17th, 2016 Geoffrey Nyungu, an MCA candidate, claimed that the former MP threatened to shoot him for criticizing his leadership.

The incident is believed to had happened on Saturday in Mukuyuni village, Kabuchai constituency, he said Serut threatened him. Serut, on the other hand, said he just asked Nyungu why he resorted to court to prevent the formation of the CDF committee, which would postpone bursaries.

“I don’t own a gun and I never threatened to shoot him. That is seeking cheap publicity,” he said.
