In the agreement,  Dr. Mutai will run as Governor while Eng. Fred Kirui will be his running mate.

In a press briefing issued at Kericho, earlier today the two leaders toned down their differences to forge a united front that will face Charles Keter in UDA primaries to be held on Thursday 14th April 2022.

According to Dr. Mutai, this is a force that seeks to equalize resources in the county that has so long been taken over by cartels in the county.

"We are gathered today to declare our joint resolutions that  Dr. Eric Mutai will be running for Governor while Fred Kirui will be the running mate. This unity of purpose will enhance service delivery and spur economic development of a county that has for long been seized by cartels," said Dr. Mutai.

Fred Kirui has promised support to Dr. Mutai’s bid and to work together to improve the livelihood of Kericho residents.

Charles Keter will have to go back to the drawing board as the clock ticks toward the UDA primaries.
