Former Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko Joins Wiper Party.
Former Nairobi county Governor Mike Sonko has formally defected to the Wiper Democratic Party ahead of the August polls.

Sonko was received by among other leaders the Wiper party Boss Kalonzo Musyoka, party chairman Ali Makwere among other Wiper party leaders.

Sonko joins the party weeks after he left the Jubilee party.
Sonko, who was the Governor Nairobi county left the position after a successful motion against him.
Sonko was impeached on corruption allegation, misconduct of office among other allegations and his position assumed by Ann Kananu.
The former governor had earlier on served as the senator for Nairobi County for the period between 2013 and 2017 before rising to the governor position.
After the impeachment, Sonko decided to live a private life where he operated his business among other things.
Weeks ago, the Former governor announced his entry into politics after which he left the Jubilee party.
