Over 700,000 candidates who sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) early this year are expected to know their University and courses placement today, August 16.

Education Cabinet Secretary, Professor George Magoha is expected to give the fate of the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education candidates later in the day.

This is after the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS)  announces the completion of the process of University Placement for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates.

The agency noted that the process was scheduled to be made public on Tuesday, August 17 after a rigorous exercise following the third revision that closed on June 23, 2021.

KUCCPS also indicated that students could access the results either online through the students portal or via SMS through the phone numbers they provided.

Access via Student Portal

To access the results on their portal, the students are required to access the KUCCPS website through https://students.kuccps.net/.

Once on the portal, they will be required to log in by providing their username (KCSE full index number), year (2020), and a password (birth certificate number).

once logged in, successful applicants will see a message containing the details of their placement on the dashboard.

The announcement will be in the format of, “Congratulations, followed by the university you have been placed then finally the course you will pursue.”
