Soccer-FA Rebuke Racist Abuse Imposed on Its Players Amid England's Final Loss
The Soccer Football Association strongly condemned all sorts of discriminatory messages and online racism that have been imposed on its players on social media following England`s loss on Sunday night Match against Italy.
This comes at a time; England's Football Association released a warning statement at the Wee hours of Monday12th July morning condemning the online racist abuse of players following the team's penalty shootout loss to Italy in the Final Euro 2020 Sunday 11th Match.
In the Sunday 12th Match, both sides drew 1-1 after extra time and Italy won the shootout 3-2, with England`s black players Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Bukayo Saka, missing spot-kicks.
"The FA strongly condemns all forms of discrimination and is appalled by the online racism that has been aimed at some of our England players on social media,". the FA statement said.
The FA also continued “We could not be clearer that anyone behind such disgusting behavior is not welcome in following the team. We will do all we can to support the players affected while urging the toughest punishments possible for anyone responsible."
